Latonia was chosen as a site for the music festival because it has the potential to for us to cultivate and grow the already rich history there. Recently, North Covington was seeing much economic development, while Latonia was feeling left out. During the commissioner’s forum in the fall prior to the election, many Latonia residents were asking questions of the commissioners on how to help Latonia have a voice in the Covington government and attract businesses. Our LNK class recognized that many efforts are already being focused on the river cities and that Latonia was a perfect fit for us. They had the space, the small town feel and the ability to host a music festival. They have welcomed us in as we have chosen them and we couldn't be happier.
